Why Enrique Iglesias Won't Marry Anna Kournikova

Enrique Iglesias and Anna Kournikova have been going strong for nearly 11 years, but don't expect any engagement news from the notoriously private pair.
"I've never really thought marriage would make a difference. Maybe it's because I come from divorced parents, but I don't think you love someone more because of a piece of paper," Iglesias tells Parade.

That doesn't mean the "I Like It" singer isn't committed to the tennis pro, 30. "Nowadays, it's not taboo to have kids and not be married," he explains. "What makes a difference is that you're a good parent, period."

Iglesias, 36, confused fans when he referred to Kournikova as his wife during a concert in Russia in April 2011. "It was just meant to be sweet in the moment," he tells Parade. "I thought it'd be easier for the audience to understand than if I said 'my girl.'"
Luckily for Iglesias, Kournikova shares his view on marriage. "It isn't important to me," she told Women's Health in 2011. "I'm in a happy relationship -- that's all that matters."

Former tennis beauty Anna Kournikova has revealed how she and her long term boyfriend Enrique Iglesias are in no hurry to get married. However, Anna does admit that she is hoping to start a family with Enrique, sometime in the near future. Kournikova explained, “I believe in being open and trusting each other and respecting each other completely. Marriage isn’t important to me. I’m in a happy relationship, that’s all that matters. I absolutely want to have children, whether I have my own or adopt.”
30 year old Anna Kournikova was forced to retire from tennis when she was only 21, due to a series of injuries. Anna Kournikova and Enrique Iglesias have been dating for about ten years and their relationship proves that you do not need to get married to make it last.

Enrique Iglesias and Dev on the set of their up-coming Music Video 'NAKED'

Enrique Iglesias Says He Has The Smallest Penis In The World [Video]

Enrique Iglesias Has The "World's Smallest Penis"
Is Enrique Still Your Hero After This?
If you’re a fan of the gorgeous Enrique Iglesias, I’m about to ruin your day.
Singer Enrique Iglesias stunned the audience at his Melbourne concert on Tuesday night, telling them he has a small penis and didn’t lose his virginity until he was 25. At a Melbourne gig on Tuesday night, for some bizarre reason, Iglesias spieled a whole lot of personal info about his sexual shortcomings.

In his 20 minute rant, Iglesias told fans that he could only last eight minutes in bed, and that he has “the smallest penis in the world”. No joke. When I first read this story I thought it had to be some kind of George Clooney style prank but, believe it or not, there’s a video of the whole cringe-worthy incident, which you can watch below.

True, the video isn’t the best quality, but transcribing some of what Iglesias said, The Sun reports that after pulling three men from the audience on stage, he quizzed them on the age they lost their virginity.

He said, “I grew up with a lot of my friends and all of them lost their virginity with hookers, not that there’s anything wrong with that. They had to pay for it. I wanted to wait for the right girl so I waited until I was 25.
But, within moments he changed his story and claimed he was in fact 17-and-a-half when he slept with his first woman, saying “I was nervous as s*** the first time. “Usually the first time is not the best. Let me be honest, I was 17-and-a-half, I was so nervous. It lasted ten seconds.” One of the men then claimed he lasted ten minutes the first time. Iglesias replied: “Really? I don’t even last eight minutes now.

Chatting with the audience between songs, Iglesias answered one fan’s comment about his lady-killer looks with the bizarre insight. The audience member said the singer’s “good looks” would be great for getting ladies. Iglesias then asked: “What does Spanish good looks have to do with the size of your penis? Maybe I have the Spanish looks but I have the smallest penis in the world. I’m serious.” He then asked his companions to lift their shirts so they could compare chests.

Throughout the awkward rant, Iglesias knocked back four shots of whiskey and told the audience that he was on antibiotics and shouldn’t be drinking. In his defense, while on stage, Iglesias did admit that he’d been mixing alcohol and antibiotics. A big no, no, but I’m sure the combination of hangover, wrath of his missus (tennis hottie Anna Kournikova), and general embarrassment will be enough for him to have learnt his lesson, or want to hide in a hole for eternity.

Enrique Iglesias girlfriend Anna Kournikova says : 'I Feel Great When I Sweat'

Anna Kournikova keeps in shape for her job as a tennis pro, but she says exercise helps her remain positive, as well. "I feel great when I sweat and get all the negative energy out," she told PEOPLE at the opening of KSwiss's new store in Santa Monica, Calif.
For the athlete, focusing on doing "weights and machines to keep the muscle mass on" is important, but the other benefits of fitness are just as rewarding. "It's all about building muscle and feeling good about yourself," she says. "I do some cardio but very little, just to relieve the stress and sweat."

Kournikova has competed against some of the world's top-ranking tennis players, but off the court she's also faced some tough battles – including Internet speculation about her weight loss, which she says, "really doesn't affect me." "You know that you're a public person. You know what you're getting yourself into and you just have to be okay with yourself," she says. "It's just somebody's opinion and you just can't focus on that."

As for her relationship with longtime boyfriend Enrique Iglesias, Kournikova simply says that "everything is good." (The couple recently dodged rumors they were engaged.) And with both of their busy schedules, "it's just really important to understand each other."

Enrique Iglesias Inspires 'Dirty Thoughts' in Fan After On-Air Smooch

Enrique Iglesias is certainly one woman's hero this weekend.
During a performance on Friday's Today show, the sexy Latino star, 35, plucked a New York City woman named Melissa from the crowd and serenaded her with his slow-burning hit, "Hero."

After looking into her eyes and crooning the song's last line, "Yes I want to be your hero," Iglesias took her face in his hands – and planted a seconds-long kiss on the stunned fan's lips.
Once the crazed crowd quieted down, Today host Matt Lauer asked Melissa how she was feeling, to which she replied, "It was nice ... it was hot. I'm thinking dirty thoughts."

And this isn't Iglesias's first sexy stunt of the week.
On Tuesday, he told Access Hollywood he's planning to make good on a dare to water ski naked in Miami's Biscayne Bay since his beloved Spain won the World Cup title. But when pressed on the claim by Lauer, Iglesias demurred, saying his legs were too skinny to show them off.

Enrique Iglesias Enjoys A Successful Partnership With CityVille

Enrique Iglesias, who performed on February 16th at the Premio Lo Nuestro a La Musica Latina at the American Airlines Arena in Miami, joined forces with social gaming company Zynga for a second time.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Iglesias teamed up with CityVille to allow players to build a virtual Euphoria Arena (promoting his Euphoria tour), collect Iglesias’ trademark boots and unlock a preview of a music video.

“After we introduced Enrique Iglesias in CityVille last September, we had such a positive response from our player community – that we wanted to bring Enrique back in celebration of Valentine’s Day, much to many player’s delight,” CityVille general manager Scott Koenigsberg told THR.

Enrique Iglesias only Joking about his & Anna Kournikova 'Divorce'

Lost in translation? Enrique Iglesias sparked a slew of breakup rumors when he told Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet that he and Anna Kournikova had been secretly married – and were now divorced.
"We're divorced. I am single now, but that's okay," he told the newspaper. "I don't mind being alone."

But a Kournikova pal tells PEOPLE that Iglesias was only joking, and his rep adds that, after five years, "They are still together."

In 2004, rumors circulated that the singer and the Russian tennis player, 25, had tied the knot in a secret ceremony in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, but a source told PEOPLE at the time that it wasn't true. Just last month, Iglesias, 32, told PEOPLE en Español his romance with Kournikova, 26, was "the only serious relationship I've had in my life."

But when asked if he sees himself with her down the road, he said: "I don't know. The only thing I can say is that, in my opinion, Anna, whether we are together or not, would be an ideal mother."

They haven't split up! Anna Kournikova, celebrating her 26th birthday at Miami's China Grill along with Enrique Iglesias and 15 friends. The duo didn't leave each other's side all night. The group feasted on crackling calamari salads, the duck two ways, a small Peking duck salad and the curry miso black cod. For dessert, the chef sent out a sweet tasting for everyone.

'I'm Never Getting Married,' Says Anna Kournikova : Famous girlfriend of Enrique Iglesias

Tennis star Anna Kournikova raced to the finish line during a celebrity relay this weekend, but says Andy Roddick will definitely beat her to the altar.

PEOPLE caught up with Kournikova at the First Annual Nautica South Beach Triathalon and asked about the recent engagement of swimsuit model Brooklyn Decker to tennis' Roddick.
"They're really young, but I hope it works out," she said. And as for her own prospects with boyfriend Enrique Iglesias? "I'm never getting married," she said, adding, "Everything is good."

Meanwhile, Kournikova may have run four miles as part of a women's relay team and come in first in the women's celebrity division for St Jude's Children's Hospital, but to her it wasn't "very much."
"I just did the four-mile run," she said. "But I just was really doing my normal exercise that I normally do ... I exercise about an hour a day." Her regimen includes 30 minutes of weights and 45 minutes of cardio, she explained. "I love the feeling of sweating. I've been exercising my whole life so I really love it."

Just don't count on her to stick to a diet either. "I don't like restricting certain groups or certain types of food. I think everything in moderation is really the best way to go. I try to eat as healthy as I can, which is not always possible," she said. "You know, I have my Burger King and McDonalds days, too."

Anna Kournikova Is Not Married

Anna Kournikova and Enrique Iglesias are not married, sources close to the tennis star tell PEOPLE.
Although published reports said the couple tied the knot in a secret ceremony in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, a few weeks ago, a source insists to PEOPLE that it's not true: "They definitely did not get married. They're very happy together, but marriage is not something that they're planning in their lives right now."

Kournikova, 23, has a policy of not speaking publicly about her personal life, and Iglesias, 29, has declined comment.
Kournikova was spotted Dec. 12 wearing the band in question at a Florida charity event.
Published reports said Kournikova has been wearing a wedding ring, but a second source tells PEOPLE that Kournikova has owned the plain band for nearly a year, wears it often and that it is not a wedding ring.
What's more, this source says Kournikova and Iglesias have not been in Puerto Vallarta together since mid-October, weeks before their alleged wedding supposedly took place.

The couple began dating in 2002, shortly after Kournikova made an appearance in Iglesias's music video "Escape."

Are Enrique Iglesias and Anna Kournikova Finally Getting Engaged?

Enrique Iglesias, 36, and tennis player Anna Kournikova, 30, who've been dating on and off for almost eight years, were spotted Thursday afternoon at the Cartier Champs-Elysees boutique in Paris – once again prompting speculation the longtime couple may be getting married.

The pair spent 40 minutes inside the high-end jewelry store, but it's not known if they walked away with a new bauble for Kournikova. Though Kournikova has dodged engagement rumors in the past – she told PEOPLE in April 2008 that she was "never getting married" – Iglesias has been vocal about his desire to marry her. "I always try, but she pays me no attention," Iglesias told reporters a couple of days later after Kournikova made her comments.

Rumors circulated in 2004 that the pair got married in a secret ceremony in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico – Kournikova was photographed wearing a wedding band on her ring finger at the time – but the reports proved not to be true.

The couple continued to face speculation in May 2007 when Iglesias told a Swedish newspaper, "We're divorced. I am single now, but that's okay. I don't mind being alone." He later retracted his quotes and told reporters it was simply a joke.

Enrique Iglesias Trying to Marry Anna Kournikova

Only a couple of days after Anna Kournikova told PEOPLE she never wants to get married, her boyfriend Enrique Iglesias told reporters he's been trying to get her to marry him for years.
"I always try, but she pays me no attention," Iglesias told reporters Friday after arriving in the Dominican Republic for the first of nine concerts planned across Latin America. Iglesias has been involved with the tennis star for at least three years.

Earlier this week, PEOPLE spoke to Kournikova about her relationship with Iglesias. "I'm never getting married," she said, adding, "Everything is good."

Enrique Iglesias Joins Beckham's Fan Roster

Add one more major name to hop the David Beckham bandwagon: Enrique Iglesias.

"He's a great guy, really down to earth," the Latin crooner – and soccer fan – tells PEOPLE. "I think he can do for soccer here what Wayne Gretzky did for hockey and Michael Jordan did for basketball. If anyone can further the sport here in America, David Beckham is the man."

Iglesias, 32, solidified his opinion of the new arrival to these shores after a chance encounter with the Beckhams Saturday night at Hollywood's Chateau Marmont. Iglesias was dining at the hotspot, while the sports star and his wife, Victoria Beckham were with friends nearby. It was the Beckhams – hand in hand – who first approached the singer's table.
A source aware of the get-together says of Iglesias, "So immediately he was quizzing David about his playing days starting in England. They were talking World Cup and all that." But Victoria soon turned the tables on the pop star, teasing him to open up about his notoriously private love life with Anna Kournikova.

"Victoria was like, when are you going to get married? What's the deal with you and Anna?" says the source. "She was like, what's the real deal, you can tell me." As for Iglesias's response, like a deft soccer goalie, he gracefully batted the questions back without answering.

Enrique Iglesias's Interview : By His Mole?

Barbara Walters, it 'aint. Celebrities are used to odd interviews, but perhaps none have been stranger than a recent interview of Enrique Iglesias that has surfaced on the internet.

In the two-minute video (via celeb blog Oh No They Didn't), a game Iglesias sits on a late-night talk show set and is asked questions by what appears to be the mole that was removed from his cheek in 2003.
The must-see-it-to-believe-it clip includes the mole asking Iglesias about his latest album, Bailamos: Greatest Hits. Then the questions get personal.

"Do you think of me sometimes?" the mole asks.
"Sometimes," replies Iglesias, before an awkward silence.
"You were always my hero," says the mole before ending the interview.

Enrique Iglesias Water Skies Naked for losing World Cup 2010 Bet as promised, Man of his Words

For Enrique Iglesias~
The upside: His beloved Spain had won its first World Cup Soccer Title.
The downside: Now, he was to water ski naked in front of the entire city of Miami – as he promised he would if the team won.

"If Spain wins, I'm going to get drunk and ski naked in Biscayne Bay," the Spanish heartthrob singer, 35, told the BBC on June 23. At that point, the Spanish team had already lost a game and were in danger of not progressing to the knockout phase. But of course, they did progress – all the way to Sunday's final, where they beat Holland 1-0. Now, Iglesias says he's willing to follow through on his pledge, telling Access Hollywood: "A bet is a bet!" It's not clear when Iglesias might make good on the promise, but if he does, it won't be the first time he's skipped through the waves in the buff. "That is what we used to do when we were kids," he told the BBC. Of course, he can probably expect a larger audience this time around.

Enrique Iglesias Water Skies Naked, As Promised.
Seems like Enrique Iglesias is a Man of his words. The singer, who vowed he would water ski naked in Florida's Biscayne Bay if his beloved Spanish soccer team won the World Cup back in June, did just that at the end of July. When the sexy singer said he'd water ski naked if Spain won the World Cup, people were skeptical that he would actually deliver. Turns out, he has every intention to follow through.

"I need to get my Brazilian wax before I do it," he joked to PEOPLE at the 150th episode taping of 'So You Think You Can Dance'. "Actually, I'm just waiting for a day off. A bet's a bet."
Added the singer: "I used to do it in high school, so what's the big deal?"

And while there have been rumors that the police will be patrolling for a fully-exposed Iglesias, he plans on warding them off by choosing a dark night to take the plunge in the Biscayne Bay. "I never got arrested in high school for doing it," he said while also wondering, "Can you really get arrested for skiing naked?"

Enrique Iglesias was Worried About Sharks – and Grooming – Before Water Skiing Nude.
Enrique Iglesias has kept his promise – and hit the bay in the buff. One other concern? "The water's hot in Miami," he said. "The only thing I'm worried about is if you fall at night, there's sharks in the water."  Despite his concerns about sharks and law enforcement, Iglesias, 35, made the late-night ski trip with a video camera to record the stunt.  Though the footage, originally posted on TMZ, is dark and shaky, the singer is clearly nude – and possibly freshly groomed. But is it really him in the video?
Reports would not confirm. but they did say that the singer was in Miami the last week in July.

No Botox, Boob Job or Baby for Anna Kournikova girlfriend of Enrique Iglesias

Ten years ago, she reigned as the unavoidable golden face of pro tennis, but now that Anna Kournikova hasn't played a WTA Tour match in five years, she's enjoying her time away from the limelight – while swatting away some persistent rumors.
"I'm not married, not pregnant, didn't have a boob job, no Botox. What else?" Kournikova, 27, tells Sports Illustrated.

The tennis phenom paved the way for the similarly glamorous likes of Maria Sharapova, but never earned a substantial victory on the courts. She left the sport in 2003, but says she and longtime boyfriend Enrique Iglesias still have to deal with paparazzi and gawking fans.
"Girls look at him. Guys look at me," Kournikova says. "It goes with the job, but it gets annoying when you feel violated. Just take the picture and be done."

As for feeling pressure to always look perfect, the athlete says she doesn't understand that obsession. "Why are people afraid of getting older? You feel wiser. You feel more mature. You feel like you know yourself better," she says. "You would trade that for softer skin? Not me!"

Enrique Iglesias Survives 2010 Air Scare Incident

Enrique Iglesias emerged without a scratch after his flight over the Atlantic was forced to make an emergency landing.
The Spanish pop star, 33 – on a promotional tour of Europe after the release of his greatest hits album – was aboard a plane from the U.S. that was forced to shut down one of its engines before being diverted to Luton Airport outside London, reports Britain's Press Association.

The singer's agent said, "The highly skilled pilots managed to make a safe landing and nobody was hurt." A rep for Iglesias's Polydor label confirmed no one was injured.

The air scare comes a month after Travis Barker and DJ AM miraculously survived a private-plane crash in South Carolina that claimed the lives of two crew members and two other passengers.

Enrique Iglesias interview : Parade Magazine (March 3, 2012) : Enrique Iglesias on Love, Fame & how Fans can make an Impression

"I shouldn’t say this, but I bought my plane before I had a [pilot’s] license,” Enrique Iglesias says conspiratorially. “I was like that kid the Barefoot Bandit. He didn’t know how to fly, but because he loved planes, he did it anyway.”
The singer’s bravado has served him well. After helping to launch the Latin music boom with sultry ballads, Iglesias, 36, is now one of dance music’s chief provocateurs, with hits like “Tonight (I’m Lovin’ You).” The high-flying star, whose latest album is Euphoria, tells Mary Margaret what keeps him grounded.

PARADE : You spent much of last year touring the world. Did you take any keepsakes with you?
ENRIQUE : I have a picture of my two dogs, Lucas and Grammy. Grammy passed away in 2010. That dog was like a human—he would get sad when I packed my bags. It was like losing one of my best friends.

PARADE : A lot of your songs are about love. Why?
ENRIQUE : It’s the thing we all have in common. Ninety percent of music tackles that subject because everyone—no matter how old, what religion, or what nationality—knows those feelings.

PARADE : Speaking of love, you introduced longtime girlfriend Anna Kournikova as your wife at a concert in Russia last year. What was that about?
ENRIQUE : It was just meant to be sweet in the moment. I honestly didn’t mean to confuse people. I thought it’d be easier for the audience to understand than if I said “my girl.”

PARADE : So no wedding bells soon?
ENRIQUE : I’ve never really thought marriage would make a difference. Maybe it’s because I come from divorced parents, but I don’t think you love someone more because of a piece of paper. And nowadays, it’s not taboo to have kids and not be married. What makes a difference is that you’re a good parent, period.

PARADE : What did you learn about fame from observing your father Julio’s career?
ENRIQUE : I remember there were these two guys who worked with him who would never even watch his show, but afterward they were at his dressing room saying, “Man, that’s the best show I’ve ever seen you do.” In showbiz, it’s easy to be surrounded by people who tell you everything is great, and as a little kid, I developed a sixth sense about those people. It gave me a tremendous psychological advantage.

PARADE : You grew up in Miami and still live there. What do you love about it?
ENRIQUE : People always think of the partying and the clubs on South Beach, but it has a tranquil side, too. It’s a city where you can truly enjoy the water, get on your boat and just go fishing. And the water’s not cold!

PARADE : How do you spend Sundays when you’re home?
ENRIQUE : I sit on the couch and watch TV. 60 Minutes is my favorite show. It’s kinda weird because I go from that to American Idol to Real Time With Bill Maher.

PARADE : You like to go to the movies on Mondays and Tuesdays. Why is that?
ENRIQUE : It’s the best time: There are no lines, and you’re not sitting next to someone who’s snoring.

PARADE : What’s the craziest thing a fan has done to get your attention?
ENRIQUE : Sometimes you’ll see a shirt fly off. That will get not only my attention, but the whole band’s.

To the dinosaur era.
