Album information The album yielded two number 1 singles in the Billboard Hot Latin Tracks chart: "Esperanza" and "Nunca Te Olvidaré". The third single was canceled in favor of his first English language hit single "Bailamos" which was included on the soundtrack for the movie Wild Wild West. A video for the track "Ruleta Rusa" was filmed and the song was released as a promo single in Argentina.

Enrique is the debut English album by Enrique Iglesias recorded in English and released in 1999.
Making of Enrique After the success of his first English crossover single "Bailamos", Enrique signed a multi-album deal with Interscope and spent the next two months recording the first English album. Knowing that Enrique was a Bruce Springsteen fan, Interscope chairman Jimmy Iovine recommended that Enrique covered the Springsteen track "Sad Eyes" which had recently been released on Springsteen's collection of rare recordings Tracks. The album also contains a duet with Whitney Houston, entitled "Could I Have This Kiss Forever", which Iglesias and Houston recorded separately. Enrique recorded the song in Los Angeles and Whitney in Hamburg, Germany with both of them singing with each other over the phone. They did eventually meet when they re-recorded the track for the single release. The album also included the crossover song "Bailamos" which had previously been on a special edition of Enrique's Cosas del Amor album and the Wild Wild West soundtrack.

Release and reception Escape debuted at #2 on the Billboard 200, his then highest debut on the chart, selling 267,000 copies in its first week. Simultaneously, "Hero" topped the UK charts, making Iglesias the only Latin artist to have a #1 album and #1 single on the charts as well as the first act in five years. It was the second highest seller, in the United Kingdom, beaten only by Robbie Williams's Escapology. It was also the best selling album of 2002 in Australia. The album also performed well throughout the world, being certified triple-platinum in the United States, quadruple-platinum in the United Kingdom, 5 × platinum in Canada and Australia, and platinum in Germany. as well as reaching Platinum or Gold certification in 35 other countries around the world. The album has now sold more than 10 million copies worldwide, becoming Iglesias' best-selling album to date.
Compositions
Iglesias either wrote or co-wrote every track on the album, and has said that for many of the tracks on the album he started out simply with titles that he later based the songs on. The first song to use this method was "Don't Turn Off the Lights", which was originally going to be the title of the album and the first single off the album. Iglesias also stated that he wrote many songs for the album, but picking the ones he considered to be the very best. "Hero" Was Co-Written by Iglesias and New Zealand artist Mase Shaw, one of the larger hits off of the album.

Making of Quizás
Enrique Iglesias wrote or co-wrote every track on the album and co-produced several of the tracks with the exception of "Tres Palabras" and the cover version of "La Chica de Ayer" originally recorded by Nacha Pop. Enrique was the executive producer of the album alongside best friend Andres Restrepo. The title track of the album talks about Enrique's strained relationship with his father. The album was released on September 17, 2002.
Chart success
Quizas topped the Billboard Latin Chart debuting at #1 and reached number 12 on the Billboard 200 album chart, the highest position for a Spanish album at the time and fastest selling Spanish album in five years. All three singles released from the album ("Mentiroso", "Quizás" and "Para Qué La Vida") topped Billboard's Hot Latin Tracks Chart. In Spain however the first single "Mentiroso" was not released. In its place the song "La Chica de Ayer" was released and topped their singles chart as well as the album. The album also entered at 200 on the UK album charts, the highest entry for a Spanish album that year as well as performing well across Latin America going platinum in counties like Mexico and Argentina.

Enrique Iglesias wrote or co-wrote and co-produced every track on the album. Jimmy Iovine was the executive producer of the album alongside Iglesias. Enrique told the Toronto Sun that he took special care with the songwriting on the album. "I concentrated a lot on the lyrical content of this album and just tried to be as honest as possible. Insomniac is the eighth studio album (and fourth English-language album) from singer Enrique Iglesias. In July 2010 Iglesias released his ninth studio effort, Euphoria, which was his first billingual album. The album spawned five singles "Cuando Me Enamoro" (featuring Juan Luis Guerra), "I Like it"—a collaboration with rapper Pitbull, a team-up with Nicole Scherzinger called "Heartbeat", No Me Digas Que No which featured Puerto Rican duo Wisin & Yandel, and "Tonight (I'm Lovin' You)"—which featured Ludacris and DJ Frank E. As now, Iglesias sold over 60 million albums (both English and Spanish) worldwide. He also has sold more than 40 million singles worldwide. Euphoria is the ninth studio album by Spanish singer-songwriter Enrique Iglesias. The album is a joint-release by Universal Republic and Universal Music Latino and was released on July 5, 2010 internationally and in the US on July 6, 2010. The album features guest appearances by Akon, Usher, Juan Luis Guerra, Pitbull, Nicole Scherzinger , Puerto Rican reggaeton duo Wisin and Yandel and Ludacris. The album consists of songs in English, and Spanish. The album's first single "Cuando Me Enamoro" reached number-one on the Hot Latin Songs, while the album's second single "I Like It", reached number four on the Billboard Hot 100. Upon its release, the album debuted at number ten on the Billboard 200, with sales of 27,000 copies. The album has now sold more than 4 million copies worldwide since its release in July 2010. Background
This album is Iglesias' first bilingual album. Enrique described the album by saying, "It's the first album I've ever released that's 50-50, I thought that when it came down to it artistically, it would help me because it would put the Spanish songs against the English. I've created a little competition inside my head." I do not want to do a double album, and I've been writing this album for a year-and-a-half, So I want to make sure it's the very best I can give fans." It was announced that at the end of 2010 Iglesias would set off on his Euphoria Tour in support of his latest album.
On November 8, 2011, a new deluxe version of the album will be released featuring new duets with Pitbull (already featured on "I Like It") and a duet with Latina actress and singer Jennifer Lopez, titled "Mouth2Mouth."
Musical content
Iglesias stated that this album is different than his previous albums by saying, "To my 'religious experience', my first album is magic because I have a lot of care and because it has a level of honesty for me unique compared to what I've done. But when people hear this record is obvious that you will find that it has nothing to do with many of the songs I've done in the past, What we want is that the audience grows with you and that is very difficult to achieve. That failing, you do it only occasionally. With these failures can be learned, but it is not easy." On the album's style "I Like It", he explained, that "It taps into so many different styles of music - it's been really exciting for me to experiment and explore new territory. It's a song that when I wrote it and not much thought was more by sound." "Heartbeat" (feat. Nicole Scherzinger) was described as a "raw" and "upbeat" song, while "Dirty Dancer" (feat. Usher) is a song "for the dirty girls, all around the world."
Commercial performance
On the Billboard 200, Euphoria was the second-highest new entry, debuting at number ten with 27,000 copies. His last studio set, 2007's Insomniac, debuted and peaked on the Billboard 200 at number seventeen with 45,000 sold in its first week. Enrique Iglesias snares his seventh number-one on U.S. Top Latin Albums as Euphoria arrives with 27,000 sold. On the Billboard 200 Iglesias achieves his second top ten, as Euphoria bows at No. 10. His only other visit to that part of the chart was when Escape hit No. 2 in 2001. The album also spent 11 weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Top Latin Albums chart. On the UK Albums Chart, the album debut at number six. Enrique Iglesias debuted at number five on the European Top 100 Albums chart with Euphoria, after starting at number-one in Spain, number five in Holland and Switzerland, number six in the United Kingdom (with first-week sales of 20,000) and number ten in France and Ireland. Since its release, the album has received mixed reviews. Robert Copsey from Digital Spy gave the album 3 stars (out of 5), saying that "Euphoria fits between the sentimental Iglesias of the 'Hero' and 'Bailamos' era and the new, Down With The Kids Enrique. The latter is generally more entertaining, with the robotic vocal effects and rave-tinged production, but the end result here is not necessarily what Iglesias may have intended". He finished the review saying that "Euphoria is a mixed bag of a record which tries a little too hard to please the disparate elements of his fanbase". In a more negative review, "Doug Belfast" from Sputnik Music thought that "Euphoria is really a mixed bag of a record that tries a little too hard at being something different, tries a little too hard at recapturing the glory of the past and tries a little too hard capturing a new fan base. All this is too hard to garner in one single record". Stephen Thomas Erlewine from Allmusic gave 3 stars out of 5 for the album and went to say that "Euphoria is as bright as its title, a firm return to romance for the loverman" and "despite the contemporary flourishes, the heart of this album resides in Iglesias’ romantic balladeering, the kind of croon that crosses cultures, so much so that the tracks here slip between Spanish and English without much notice. No matter the language, Enrique maintains the seductive mood on Euphoria".

"No Me Digas Que No" was initially released as the second promo single from "Euphoria" on June 22, 2010 prior to the release of the album. It later received the full single treatment in October 2010. It hit radio stations on October 19, 2010. Iglesias performed the song at 2010 Latin Grammy Awards. The music video premiered on November 18, 2010. The song reached #1 on the U.S. Billboard Hot Latin Songs chart, becoming his 22nd #1 single on the chart.
"Tonight (I'm Lovin' You)" was released as the first single from the reissue of the album on November 1, 2010. The track features American rapper Ludacris. The song topped US Hot Dance Club Songs, becoming the Male Artist with the most #1 songs on the US Hot Dance Club Songs chart. The song also topped US Radio Songs and US Pop Songs. The song was performed for the first time at American Music Awards. It reached number 4 on the Billboard Hot 100. "Ayer" was released as the third spanish-Language single from the album on July 5, 2011. The video for the song premiered on July 29, 2011. "Dirty Dancer" was released as the second single from the reissue of the album on May 9, 2011. The song appeared on the original version of the album, however, for its single release it was remixed with a new instrumental and new verses from Lil Wayne and Nayer. It reached number 18 on the Billboard Hot 100. On October 4, 2011, "I Like How It Feels" featuring rapper Pitbull (who appeared on "I Like It") and producers The WAV.s will be released for digital download, as the second single from the deluxe edition of Euphoria and the eighth overall single.
