Enrique Iglesias: 15 Things You Didn’t Know!

Enrique Iglesias was one of the biggest heartthrobs of the early aughts. Though the latin singer is now 40 years old, he’s no less of a stud than he was 10 years ago. However, despite the fact that Iglesias has spent a considerable amount of time in the spotlight and under the scrutiny of the public eye, there are still some things that many people don’t know. With that in mind, here we present our list of 15 things you probably didn’t know about Enrique Iglesias. Check out part one below, and stay tuned for part two, coming soon!

Number Fifteen: He Wasn’t Always Iglesias. In fact, Iglesias began performing under the stage name of Enrique Martinez! He switched to Iglesias soon after, and then he hit it big.

Number Fourteen: Fame Runs in His Blood. Iglesias’ father is none other than Julio Iglesias. Julio is a very famous Spanish singer. Iglesias’ mother is also quite famous – she is the journalist Isabel Preysler.

Number Thirteen: He’s a Baby. Well, sort of. Iglesias is the youngest of three children, which may explain some of his personality traits. His two older siblings are named Chabeli and Julio (presumably, the latter is named after his father).

Number Twelve: He Dedicated an Album to His Nanny. This might sound sweet, but there’s a sad backstory to it. Iglesias was brought up mostly by his nanny in Miami. He was sent to Miami after his grandfather was kidnapped, and his life may have been in danger. Iglesias dedicated his first album to his nanny, Elvira.

Number Eleven: He Is a College Dropout. It’s true! Iglesias studied business at the University of Miami, but he dropped out after he got a record deal with Fonovisa Records. He recorded his very first album in Toronto, Canada.

Number Ten: He Wrote a Song for Andrea Bocelli. Iglesias collaborated with songwriter Guy Chambers to write the lead single from Andrea Bocelli‘s very first pop album. The song is called “Un Nuovo Giorno” and was also recorded by former spice girl Melanie C in English.

Number Nine: He Also Wrote a Song for Clay Aiken. Iglesias wrote “The Way” for American Idol‘s very own Clay Aiken. Stay tuned for part two of our list of 15 things you didn’t know about Enrique Iglesias, coming soon!

Anna and myself are just fine with sex and love: Enrique Iglesias

Pop star Enrique Iglesias says his long-standing relationship with girlfriend and former Russian tennis star Anna Kournikova does not need the seal of marriage to be successful

Pop star Enrique Iglesias (39) has clarified that his relationship with retired tennis star Anna Kournikova (33) does not require the seal of marriage.
Retired Russian tennis ace Anna Kournikova.
Kournikova and Iglesias began dating in 2001, during the time she featured in the singer’s chartbusting track Escape. Though the glamorous couple’s relationship has been quite lengthy as compared to the relationships of other American pop stars, they are yet to be married and do not have any kids.

However, there have been constant reports and speculation about the couple’s marital status with some newspapers claiming they are married and subsequently divorced.

Iglesias recently clarified though that their love did not need the season of marriage to blossom. In an interview with international magazine Life & Style, on the sidelines of his tour with fellow pop stars Pitbull and J Balvin, Iglesias said that his love for the Russian tennis beauty is as strong as it was when they met 13 years ago.

“She’s my girl and the best partner in all my adventures. Trust is the key in any relationship,” said the singer.

As for marriage, the Spaniard said: “This is a new era. A piece of paper doesn’t guarantee your happiness. Anna and myself are just fine with the sex and love.”

Enrique Iglesias Says He 'Got A Divorce Three Days Ago'

Enrique Iglesias is newly divorced, or so he says.

Iglesias, 39, is currently touring the country with Pitbull for his Sex and Love album. The Spanish star spoke to reporters after his performance at the Los Angeles’ Staple Center on Friday, Oct. 10 and put on a very serious face when saying he had recently annulled his supposed marriage.

If your first reaction is, ‘Wait, what? When did he get married?,’ you're not alone. The singer has been with girlfriend Anna Kournikova since they met in 2001 on the set of his “Escape” video. Over the years, reports of the couple tying the knot have surfaced but none have ever been confirmed by the singer or the Russian beauty.

So, before hundreds of fans rejoice in Iglesias’ alleged new marital status let’s remember how much the “Hero” singer loves to joke around.

“I’ll tell you something, whenever we’re with friends and we’re chatting the first question is always, are you married? Do you have a boyfriend? A girlfriend? Do you have kids? It’s normal,” Enrique said to several outlets, including Univision.

Seizing the opportunity, one reporter asked, “And are you married already?”

“Right now, I’m divorced,” Iglesias said to the cameras with a straight face. “I got a divorce three days ago and I wanted to give you guys the exclusive. I’m serious. No, seriously. Don’t laugh.”

Iglesias didn’t even crack a smile as he “revealed” his divorce, but that’s not to say he wasn’t having a little fun with the reporters.

Rumors that the former tennis player and Iglesias had split due to his refusal to pop the question circulated in October 2013, but they were squashed after the couple was spotted together a few months later in Miami.

While the couple has often refused to comment on their private life, both Kournikova and Iglesias have said that marriage is not in their plans.

“When you’ve been with someone for such a long time, I don’t think [marriage is] going to bring us close together. I don’t think it’s going to... make us any happier,” Iglesias said on “CBS Sunday Morning” in March of this year.

Anna Kournikova is the coolest girl in the world: Enrique Iglesias

Singer Enrique Iglesias on song while talking up tennis star girlfriend Kournikova
You don't interview singer Enrique Iglesias (39) and not ask him about his tennis star girlfriend Anna Kournikova, who turned 33

But ask him about the secret to his long-standing relationship with the Russian heartthrob and he'll tell you there's no secret. Here's what he told the Daily Star on Sunday: "There is no secret.

There's no such thing as a perfect relationship. You go through ups and downs and it's a lot of work, but when you get through that, the good times are really, really good." Next question was, 'why is she the girl for you?'

That gets Iglesias in a more elaborative mood: "Firstly, she's the coolest girl in the world. She finds my stupid humour funny and she understands who I am – to the point where she's willing to sacrifice her personal time with me to let me do my music."

He can't tell though what made Kournikova fall for him. "I honestly don't know," he said. "I'm not even romantic. I express it in my music. You write stuff you don't have the guts to express face to face."

It's always physical
His straight-talking nature comes through when he responds to his interviewer's query about attracts him when it comes to women.

"The first thing is always physical. You don't see someone across a room and think, 'Wow, I can sense her amazing sense of humour!'

But you can be with the most beautiful girl in the world and if you have nothing in common, the next day it will be done. Well, it might last a week if it's fun, if you know what I mean," he says without beating around the bush.

It’s Important To Remember That Enrique Iglesias Is A Gift To This World (In case you had forgotten…)

This Spanish beauty is a gift wrapped in cargo pants, boots, and a sweater.

And he needs to be recognized as such.

Even though we weren’t sure things would be the same after the mole…

We realized the mole had to go to make room for the rest of his beautiful face.

He literally smolders and steams.

You could actually fry an egg on his chest.

These feathers are the luckiest feathers on this planet because they get to graze his face.

And be held in his smooth, tan hand.

Even with these pants and those shoes he exudes SEX.

AND THIS MOMENT IN TIME IS ALMOST UNBEARABLE.

It’s adorable because he loves wearing hats.

Like, he wears hats everywhere.

And sometimes he holds bras up to his shirt while wearing a hat and you melt inside.

The hats also increase his bicep size 13 times.

No actually it doesn’t. He has those beautiful bulging biceps at ALL TIMES.

And his pectoral region is like a landscape personally designed by god.

*DIES*

*IS RESUSCITATED, DIES AGAIN*

He also has perfect teeth.

And they are so powerful and strong that he can hold up his shirts with them like this:

Also he loves animals.

And sweet baby Jesus they love him.

He’s an avid promotor of peace and backward hats.

And also of perfectly trimmed stubble…

And just in general being devastatingly handsome.

SO NEVER FORGET IT WHAT WE’VE BEEN GIVEN! :)

Tell Us! What Do You Fans Think? Enrique Iglesias: hotter then or now?

It's that time again – we need you to stare at two pictures of men and tell us which one is prettier.
WHAT A HARD JOB.

So when it comes to Enrique, did you fancy him in the earlier crooning days, or is it the more mature version that you’d like to (soz for what’s about to come) be your hero?

Try not to let the fact that the older he gets, the more he’ll look like his dad Julio (ask your mum) affect your decision.

Enrique Iglesias's "Hero" Needs To Be Saved From Its Syrupy Balladry

This month, to celebrate the Internet's unbridled love for wallowing in nostalgia and even greater relishing of talking about why certain cultural artifacts are horrible, Sound of the City presents First Worsts, a series in which our writers remember the first time... they ever hated a song enough to call it The Worst. (And to be fair, we're also going to see how these songs have stood the test of time.)

THE SONG: Enrique Iglesias, "Hero."
THE YEAR: 2001.
THE REASONS: Treacle and balladry.

You know you're either destined to be a music critic or a sad, depleted adult —yes, yes, you're so funny—when you realize you spent multiple nights as a preteen hunched over a clock radio with a legal pad, writing down the names of everything on the radio, plus playcounts, plus thoughts, plus hearts doodled in the margins because you are in fact a tween.
I was in fact a tween, and it was on purpose; it was part of my trying so hard to metamorphose from a computer geek with helmet hair and mismatched clothes to a real preteen girl, the sort who'd appear mid-leap on the cover of a Delia's catalog. The quest was doomed, of course, but nobody could say I didn't try. I persuaded my parents to buy me everything in olive green and burnt orange because that was, more or less, the Abercrombie color scheme. I subscribed to every teen magazine on the shelves, from the "legit" ones like Seventeen to the ones that were really just Pinterest boards of celebrities like J-14.

Enrique Iglesias, "Hero"

And I listened to a lot of pop music. Partly this was because that's what was done, partly I'd been primed by my sorority babysitters' always-on radio and the VH1 countdowns my grandmother put on after school, but most of it wasn't environmental at all. The genre—like the magazines—has always been aspirational music for preteens, and the still-not-latent nerd in me wanted to figure out how and why exactly that happened. So I wrote reviews, all of which were terrible. (Thanks to Geocities mirrors, I can report that one Creed blurb contained the sentence "points for originality," and that there was an Energizer bunny reference elsewhere, plus multiple instances of "music with a good message.") I made playlists: the crush mix for staring at yearbook photos of the class president on a field trip (something I'm sure I did after seeing it in a movie); the party mix for being driven to dances and pretending they were the club; the self-confident mix for summers at the water park, watching the older, cooler people around me (including at least one babysitter) frolic in swimsuits and get hit on by lifeguards and pretending that if I listened hard enough, I'd get the key to that secret teenage world. There was nothing I couldn't think I related to.

Nothing, that is, except one particular genre of song: the one where earnest, quavery guys crooned to you about their feeeeeeeeeelings. These were always ballads, but balladry alone was no sin; I willingly listened to Christina Aguilera's "I Turn to You" no matter how much I associated it with my summer-camp crush ditching me for some girl in jeggings. (That wasn't yet a term, but make no mistake: they were jeggings.) No, these were the clammy caresses of pop-rock balladeers, the kind that seemed like so much bullshit considering how actual middle-school boys were the absolute worst, the sort of people who wouldn't serenade you but stand you up or call you a dumbass bitch during ballroom dance lessons. Plus, the songs were generally terrible.

2001 was particularly dismal for these. The year in pop was actually pretty great, even ten years later with hardened ears, but only after dismissing the likes of O-Town's "All or Nothing," which even then registered as an attempt to string together every cliché in the English and musical languages, or K-Ci and JoJo's "Crazy," about which I remember nothing but the chorus's puddle of warbly "crazycrazycrazy" bibble that, to my ears, felt like K-Ci and JoJo following me around whining and blowing raspberries in my face, maybe hoping that if they just pissed and moaned enough I'd decide singledom just wasn't worth it.

None of these were the absolute worst, though. The absolute worst belonged to Enrique Iglesias, Latin-pop legend Julio Iglesias's son whose single "Hero" was heavily promoted around September 11 for mostly extramusical reasons. I knew neither of these things. I only knew that this song was everywhere—and could prove it, considering I'd tallied the damn playcounts—and I couldn't go to any school event or retail store or anywhere with a radio without being accosted by gentle guitar and strings and Enrique bleating "I can be your hero, ba-a-a-a-a-a-by, I can kiss away the pain..." until heroics, pet names and grown-up relationships all seemed like pretty poor ideas, and ballads worse still.

SO HOW IS IT NOW?
I hadn't knowingly heard this since it slipped off the radio until now, and I can't justify my instant negative reaction. Every element is something I'll accept, even like, from other ballads. Those elements, however, include: limpid strings; a guitar line that goes nowhere and does nothing, like somebody swirling a fork in a puddle of molasses; a bongo loop Enrique either got from the presets directory or a Waves store by the beach, a simple-but-touching-except-not piano line; a spoken-word intro whispered as if he's trying to distract you during a slow dance from a wandering hand, which is an entirely preteen reaction but still; and that quaver, where "have I lost my mind" is baa-ed like a sheep.

This is where I should probably note that I wrote that paragraph after getting through only 2:30 of the song, which is cheating, so here goes. The strings and guitar line get even treaclier, even more so when I realize it's doing so in order to chase the vaguely-classical-guitar trend that lasted about a year. Enrique warbles "I just want to hold you, I just want to hold you" with the intonation of every Nice Guy™ ever. I remembered the (rote) surging chorus; I remembered the big soaring notes that never quite left the runway. But when was there a fake gospel choir? Why does that last, mercifully quiet note feel so much like wriggling out of a pair of sweaty arms? "Hero" doesn't sound as bad as it did before—it's worse. Or else I really did end up as that sad, depleted adult. You decide.

(Astute readers, however, will note that nowhere in this column did I mention "Be With You.")

In Coming October, Pune will turn into Spanish singing sensation Enrique Iglesias' destination to party. Steamy Enrique, J-Lo to make some music, too

Enrique Iglesias is currently on tour with Jennifer Lopez, and tells ET that given the magnitude of both of their live shows, things don’t always come together so smoothly. “A co-headline is always tough. In this case you have two production teams and you’re joining them together, and that can be a little chaotic at times,” Iglesias admits.

It’s always chaotic the first few shows but…when things get going, it’s definitely worth it. In this case, it’s already our fifth show so it’s starting to kick in, and I think fans are enjoying [these] two completely different shows.

Enrique Iglesias and Jennifer Lopez on the same stage is just calling for a ha-cha-cha description of what the night will bring. Yes, we are saying the two mega stars — in U.S. and Latin entertainment circles — are easy on the eyes. And a duet called "Mouth 2 Mouth" only adds to the steamy scenario (the song is on Iglesias' "Euphoria Reloaded," a reissue of his 2010 "Euphoria.") But along with the fantabulous spectacle of a live performance by Iglesias and J-Lo, is good music to be heard.

Why go: With Iglesias billed as the headliner, this show should be mostly about the music and not the glamour and spectacle of celebrity.

Still, there was plenty to enjoy in her 90-minute extravaganza-from her athletic, often shirtless backup dancers doing back flips worthy of an Olympic routine, a nod to “I Love Lucy” with a backdrop of “Club Babalu” for the party anthem, “Let’s Get Loud,”  to her playing to the Latinos in the audience, shouting out to her “Papis” and delivering the opening refrain of  her dance hit, “On the Floor” in Spanish from a raised throne.
An encore of “Dance Again” ended in a rain of confetti, pyrotechnics, and an entire audience dancing as if in a club.
This is why I love the East Coast,” Lopez told the crowd.
"At the end of the day, this is what I do. This is where I belong — out here with you." —Jennifer Lopez

Where J-Lo’s set satisfied the males in the audience, co-headliner Enrique Iglesias provided machismo and eye-candy for the ladies.
Announcing his arrival through bold messages on a video screen (“It’s My Time!” “Are You Ready?”) Iglesias emerged in glorious splendor, dressed simply in jeans, a black t-shirt and a baseball cap. His chiseled features were enough to elicit screams of delight from his legions of female fans, lapping up every bit of his sweaty, jocular physique.

Interview: 10 thoughts from Enrique Iglesias, now touring with Jennifer Lopez

When it comes to collaborations, Enrique Iglesias rules as the ultimate music-action hero.
“Euphoria” (2010), his most recent disc, teams the Latin pop star with no less than six other music muscle men, including Usher on “Dirty Dancer,” Akon on “One Day at a Time” and Pitbull on “I Like It” (with a cameo from Lionel Richie, whose “All Night Long” provides the song’s hook). Toss in the Pussycat Dolls’ Nicole Scherzinger, tropical Latin icon Juan Luis Guerra and Yandel of reggaeton powerhouse Wisin y Yandel, and it’s like Iglesias is starring in a music version of the “Expendables” franchise, with Enrique as Sly, of course.

Now he’s off on the biggest collaboration of them all: a co-headlining tour with Jennifer Lopez, which stops Friday at the United C8xh70Y6N_U_CryOsw6FTOdKL_jpQ-&CONTENTTYPE=image/jpeg" />

When it comes to collaborations, Enrique Iglesias rules as the ultimate music-action hero.
“Euphoria”ver. I can’t record while I’m on the road.”

Here are the top 10 soundbites from our interview:
1 Jenny from the Block” travels with lots of neighborhood buds:
“Yeah, it’s a big entourage, there’s a lot of people, but she’s a sweetheart. She’s a perfectionist and a total professional. ... She has a gifted smile. You could be in a bad mood or she could be telling you off, but then she smiles, and you’re like, well, OK.” Just like she did when she guest-starred on “Will & Grace”? [Laughs] “Oh, I never watched those shows.”

2 A little music festival in Grant Park doesn’t faze him:
“Yeah, I noticed we’re here on the opening day of Lollapalooza. But they appeal to a different audience. Of course, the fewer events [you’re competing against] the better it is. But the show’s great, and the tour has been going so well so far.”

3 Chicago’s his kind of town, even if they don’t always play his songs on the radio:
“People have to remember that radio is a business. So if makes more sense to add a third regional Mexican music station [and shut down the city’s Latin pop outlet], then it’s hard to argue with that. Besides, Chicago has always been good to me. I started out on Fonovisa [a regional Mexican label], and the Mexican stations were always very loyal.”

4 The best collaborations are spontaneous:
“Sometimes a collaboration works, sometimes it doesn’t. Like ‘Cuando Me Enamoro’ with Juan Luis Guerra. A lot of its success had to do with [work] after the song was written. If you try to plot everything out in advance, the song gets pressured, and it doesn’t come out right.”

5 Ryan and Randy can forget about putting out the welcome mat for him on “American Idol”:
“I’ve been asked this question a billion times in the last week. No way would I replace Jennifer on ‘American Idol.’ But I think she did great. It must really be tough if you’re a known artist. If you’re a label exec or a newcomer, it might be good exposure. But once they know you, it’s a tough, tough job.”

6 Though he’s worked with Pitbull, Akon and Lil Wayne, he doesn’t think he’s moved to a harder sound:
“Pitbull is pop as it gets now. I still love ballads like ‘Hero’ [one of his biggest hits], but in the last four years, I haven’t felt comfortable with any of the ballads I’ve written in English. For ‘I Like It,’ I went through so much with that song and went through such a transition. I told my label, this is the song. They told me, ‘You’re crazy. It’s never going to work.’ I had it for three years on the shelf and I even changed labels [because of the disagreement]. When I wake up, I’m really moody. But I’d play this song and perk up because it was like an energy blast. My gut told me that it had something.”

7 Lionel Richie did him a solid for “I Like It”:
“I originally sampled his vocals [from ‘All Night Long’] but it didn’t work. So I called him immediately, and he came right to the studio to re-record it. It was surreal to watch him re-record lines from his most recognized song. I watched him and thought, ‘This guy’s the s---.’ And here’s another example of how things can come together during a project. You could never plan that.”

8 Not every Latin music star has an alcohol product to promote:
even though Pitbull was just here touting his vodka and now Iglesias co-owns Atlantico Rum: “The rum thing was pretty organic; one of my best friends started this brand. I wasn’t a rum drinker but I fell in love with it. I’m bad when it comes to promoting brands, but I was really passionate about this.”

9 Though Iglesias has a signature look:
baseball cap, jeans and boots — don’t expect him to go Kanye and start designing or endorsing clothes: “I wouldn’t be the one to do it. When you’re dealing with big companies, there’s always compromise. If I had some artistic freedom, that would be one thing. But I’m not going to do it just because I’m getting a big check.”

10 He takes fame in stride:
“If you would have asked me when I started if I’d still be at this 15 years later, I wouldn’t have believed it. I still don’t know how I’m going to handle it [long term]. I really haven’t, it’s kinda scary. I love what I do and still can’t believe I get paid for it. Well, the performing, but the promotion — that’s another matter. But in the end, you are a piece of meat. The minute you go a little bad, it’s over. You’re only as good as your last hit.”

Enrique Iglesias loves kissing fans on stage

Enrique Iglesias is very open to making out with his fans on stage. The sizzling Spanish singer has said in an interview with Univision that he never grows tired of the steamy interaction with his fans.

"I never regret bringing a fan up on stage. For me, the most interesting part of a show is interacting with people, that's spontaneous."

One thing is for certain he has fun and by the look of these photos, the fans love their minute of closeness with the star, however fleeting it may be.

Enrique Iglesias: Music lifts my morning mood

Enrique Iglesias is "really moody" in the mornings, so plays his songs to lift his mood.

The Spanish singer's favourite track to listen to when he wakes is his 2010 tune I Like It, which features Pitbull. He struggled to get the song released so it means a lot to him.

"For I Like It, I went through so much with that song and went through such a transition. I told my label, this is the song. They told me, 'You're crazy. It's never going to work.' I had it for three years on the shelf and I even changed labels [because of the disagreement]," he explained to Chicago Sun-Times. "When I wake up, I'm really moody. But I'd play this song and perk up because it was like an energy blast. My gut told me that it had something."

Enrique is currently on tour with Jennifer Lopez and has enjoyed working with her. While he admits she has a "big entourage", he insists she couldn't be nicer.

Jennifer recently quit her role as a judge on American Idol and Enrique has no plans to step into her seat.

"I've been asked this question a billion times in the last week. No way would I replace Jennifer on American Idol. But I think she did great. It must really be tough if you're a known artist. If you're a label exec or a newcomer, it might be good exposure. But once they know you, it's a tough, tough job," he said.

Enrique Iglesias: I won't front fashion label

Enrique Iglesias would never design or endorse a clothing label as he wouldn't "compromise" on "artistic freedom". The singer is celebrated for his hunky good looks and has a signature style, favouring a dapper look on the red carpet and a more laidback style when he isn't working.
Despite his interest in fashion, Enrique would never be the face of a brand just because it paid well.

"I wouldn't be the one to do it. When you're dealing with big companies, there's always compromise. If I had some artistic freedom, that would be one thing. But I'm not going to do it just because I'm getting a big cheque," he told the Chicago Sun-Times.

Enrique has previously praised the work of his stylist, who makes sure he looks ever-fashionable. The star also revealed who he admires in the style stakes.

"I have a stylist who is great. I get to pick out the clothes I wear from a selection she picks for me on video shoots," he explained.

"I would personally like to be someone like David Beckham. His style is 100 per cent. He always looks so good. Johnny Depp also has a great style - and the thing about Johnny is that he is in his 40s and he looks like he's 30."

Enrique Iglesias: I ruined J-Lo surprise, on Jennifer Lopez's birthday

Enrique Iglesias felt "so bad" when he accidently "screwed up" Jennifer Lopez's birthday surprise.

The Spanish singer is currently touring with Jennifer. The Latino beauty celebrated her 43rd birthday this week, and while the pair have formed a firm friendship, Enrique regrets being so open with the star at times.

"She had a surprise party and I didn't even know about it, and I was like, 'I'm trying to make it to your party for your birthday!' I felt so bad, I was like, 'Oh my God, I can't believe I just screwed that up,'" he laughed in an interview with Extra.

Enrique hopes to make the most of their friendship by collaborating on some songs. The 37-year-old star also wrote Jennifer's track Dance Again and was happy to hand the song over to the star.

"We've actually sang a few songs together in the studio. By the time we do it it's going to be hopefully half way through the tour, or as soon as possible," he said. "Even if it doesn't happen during the tour, I want to work with Jennifer for a long time.

"It's strange, because I actually wrote that song for myself, but when I wrote it I was like 'This is not for me, this is for a girl.'"

Enrique Iglesias wants to record with Jennifer Lopez ( J.Lo )

Spanish singer Enrique Iglesias, currently on tour in the United States with Jennifer Lopez, told Efe on Monday that he would like to record some "cool, Latin" sounds with her.

Iglesias and Lopez are playing to full houses at every concert and though they don't sing together in their presentations, the Spaniard said they're likely to do so not far down the road.

The singer told Efe via e-mail that the idea doesn't spring from "anything in particular, we've recorded several things together but it must be like Jennifer says, that I'm too much of a perfectionist - but I'm positive we'll do a number together and may it be soon."

"Meanwhile we're really enjoying the tour," the 37-year-old singer said after the two concerts he gave this weekend with Lopez and rap duo Wisin & Yandel in Newark, New Jersey.

Iglesias is nothing averse to musical duos as exemplified by those he has done with a number of top Latino and Anglo artists, being one of the first to do crossover performances in the English-language market.

The singer said that collaborations, like the songs he sang with Christina Aguilera, Lionel Richie, Aventura and Pitbull, "should come about organically - I'm working on several ideas now but they're still in the embryo stage."

Iglesias, J.Lo and Wisin & Yandel plan to perform in Chicago, Kansas City, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Dallas, Miami and other cities, before wrapping up the tour in Orlando, Florida, on Sept. 2. EFE

Fights & Debates: Jennifer Lopez Insisting Enrique Iglesias to get married with long time girlfriend Anna Kournikova

Enrique Iglesias is resisting pressure from touring mate Jennifer Lopez to tie the knot with his girlfriend of 11 years Anna Kournikova, insisting they already feel like a married couple.
Iglesias has been dating the tennis star and model since 2001, but he sees no point in making their relationship official – however, Lopez begs to differ.

During a joint appearance on “Good Morning America” on Tuesday, he said, “I think Jennifer and I think differently when it comes down to that. I don’t think you need to be married to someone – that doesn’t mean that you are going to love them more, that doesn’t mean you’re going to be any more loyal. I mean, at the end of the day, when you’re with someone, you are married.
Yet Lopez clearly doesn’t feel the same way, interrupting: “We had this discussion over dinner and it’s a long discussion.

Lopez, who split from her third husband Marc Anthony last year and is currently dating dancer Casper Smart, insists she’s open to the idea of getting hitched again, calling marriage the ultimate “fairytale”: “I will never give up on that dream.

Enrique Iglesias on Upcoming Tour with Jennifer Lopez from Montreal on 14th July to Orlando, and on Marrying Anna Kournikova: “We Are Happy Where We Are”

He might have a famous father, Julio Iglesias, but Enrique Iglesias has carved his path all on his own. Since leaving the University of Miami to pursue music in 1995, the Latin superstar has sold over 70 million albums, had 68 No.1 charted hits and Billboard has called him "The King of Latin Pop." And after looking at his time in the spotlight, there is no questioning that title.

Hitting the scene with his mega Spanish hit Enrique Iglesias in 1995, he easily made the transition to American audience with his album, Enrique. After a two-year break,  he made a comeback with his song “I Like It," and every song released since has become an instant sensation. There's also a tour with Jennifer Lopez coming up.

This weekend, we got the chance to chat with Iglesias inside Arkadia at the Fontainebleau during the iHeartRadio Ultimate Pool Party, where we talked everything from music to marriage.

Niteside:
I would say welcome to Miami, but you live here.
Enrique Iglesias: I live here. I live about five minutes from here actually.

Where is your favorite place to grab a drink when you’re here?
I usually start at my house. Luckily, I am not bothered by paparazzi here. It's so relaxing. I can actually get away when I am here. People think Miami and they think you have to party and go out. But it’s my favorite place to relax. It's not just about South Beach – the beach is a big place.

Tell me about your upcoming tour with Jennifer Lopez.
I leave tomorrow to Lebanon. Then it all begins with Jennifer July 14th in Montreal. We finish the tour up in Orlando.

What is Jennifer Lopez to you: JLo, Jennifer, Jenny From The Block?
I call her Jennifer, even though it’s probably just easier to say JLo.

What can fans expect from this tour?
The whole thing is that we are very different. Different performers, different types of music and I think that combination is going to make it interesting. You need that conflict for fans to get a good show. Fans are also getting two shows for the price of one.

Can we expect another single with you and Pitbull?
Pit is really one of my friends. He’s one of the coolest guys. A little crazy in the terms of energy. He’s one of those guys who will go to bed at 4 a.m. then call me at 6 a.m., “Lets go get breakfast!” He’s such a good guy.

I have to know: You and Anna have been together for a long time. Any plans to put a ring on it?
(Laughs) We are happy where we are now.
